If you're a Beauty and the Beast fan like I am, you will absolutely adore Red Rose Taverne! The transformation of the former Village Haus, a Pinocchio themed quick service eatery in Fantasyland, is only temporary. Just how temporary remains unknown, so come and get it while you can!
As I walked past the quaint little restaurant on a warm Friday evening, I was lured in by the irresistible, nostalgic tune of Be Our Guest. I just had to step inside the cozy village cottage.
And what a treat it was when I did!
Just take a look at this charming decor, so reminiscent of the beloved classic.
You'll surely recognize this stained glass piece from the end of the animated film.
Little Town, full of little people...waking up to say....Bonjour!
Wow, that Gaston really does use antlers in all of his decorating!
You'll even find some bits of decor paying tribute to the new live action film, such as this china cabinet featuring Mrs. Potts.
After taking a glance at the menu which you can find here: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disneyland/red-rose-taverne/menus/, I decided to go with the famed Enchanted Cauli-Flower Sandwich and Pomme Frites, and all I can say is YUM! It was so good, I didn't even think to stop and take a picture of it first! The juicy grilled cauliflower steak paired perfectly with the spicy lime aioli, crispy tempura green beans and lettuce, and luscious tomato, all sandwiched between two warm, toasted ciabatta buns. Now is not the time to make the sensible choice and choose the sliced apples! Go for those garlicky parmesan pomme frites (french fries) on the side and you won't regret it! Mmmmm...I highly recommend it.
I'm told I should try the the grey stuff, it's delicious! Unfortunately they were sold out when I went in for an 8:30 dinner on a Friday night. It goes quick!
So if you find yourself a bit peckish while roaming around the happiest place on earth, head on over to Red Rose Taverne and put their service to the test! It's a limited time offer, so give it a try while you still can!
